Currently, the hardware used in DSL and Cable based modems does not support the ability to send and receive faxes or perform voice messaging operations. Until DSL and Cable modems support the commands necessary for software such as FaxTalk FaxCenter Pro you will not be able to use DSL or cable modems with FaxTalk FaxCenter Pro. This is true for allfax and voice messaging software.

Once the computer has been told to "wake up" by the modem hardware, the FaxTalk FaxCenter Pro software will be waiting for the modem to report the incoming call and will answer the phone accordingly. You should check with your modem or computer manufacturer to determine if your modem supports "Wake on Ring" when in sleep mode.

Can FaxTalk FaxCenter Pro 7.5 answer the phone when I'm logged out of Windows?
