FaxTalk Messenger Pro 7.5 System Requirements
Your system must meet the minimum requirements to install and operate FaxTalk Messenger Pro 7.5.
Software:
- Windows 7 (All Editions 32 bit and 64 bit)
Windows Server 2008 (All Editions 32 bit and 64 bit)
Windows Vista (All Editions 32 bit and 64 bit) Windows Server 2003 (All Editions 32 bit and 64 bit)
Windows XP Professional (All Editions 32 bit and 64 bit) Windows 2000
Hardware:
- Intel or AMD Pentium compatible processor running at 500MHz or higher
- 256 MB of RAM
- 15 MB of free disk space (for minimal installation), 20 MB of free disk space (for complete installation)
- Windows compatible VGA graphics display capable of 1024x768 resolution, 256 colors
Modem:
- For fax operations: A Class 1, Class 1.0, Class 2, Class 2.0 or Class 2.1 fax modem.
- For voice messaging operations: A modem with hardware and driver support for voice operations using a Rockwell,
Conexant, US Robotics, Motorola, Lucent, Agere, Intel, Ambient, Cirrus Logic, PCtel, or Topic chipset.
Note: The voice messaging features provided in FaxTalk Messenger Pro require that the modem hardware
correctly support voice messaging commands and support for these capabilities in FaxTalk Messenger is completely
dependent on the modem hardware. These features may not operate correctly if the modem hardware does not correctly
support these capabilities.
Other:
- Windows compatible sound card (for voice message playback and recording)
- Windows compatible printer capable of printing bitmap graphics (for printing faxes)
Caller ID:
- Caller ID service from your local phone company
- A version of Windows that supports Caller ID using TAPI (if using TAPI mode)
- Modem drivers that support Caller ID reporting using Windows TAPI (if using TAPI mode) or modem drivers that support
Caller ID reporting using direct modem AT commands (if using Direct Mode)
Note: The Caller ID support in
FaxTalk Messenger Pro require that the modem hardware and drivers correctly provide Caller ID information using
Windows TAPI (if using TAPI mode) directly using modem AT commands (if using Direct Mode). Support for Caller ID in
FaxTalk Messenger is completely dependent on the modem hardware and may not operate correctly if the modem hardware does
not correctly support this capability.
Distinctive Ring:
- Distinctive Ring service from your local phone company
- A version of Windows that supports Distinctive Ring using TAPI (if using TAPI mode)
- Modem drivers that support Distinctive Ring reporting using Windows TAPI (if using TAPI mode) or modem drivers that
support Distinctive Ring using direct modem AT commands (if using Direct Mode)
Note: The Distinctive Ring
support in FaxTalk Messenger Pro require that the modem hardware and drivers correctly provide Distinctive Ring
information using Windows TAPI (if using TAPI mode) directly using modem AT commands (if using Direct Mode). Support
for Distinctive Ring in FaxTalk Messenger is completely dependent on the modem hardware and may not operate correctly
if the modem hardware does not correctly support this capability.
FaxTalk Messenger Pro provides a comprehensive set of voice messaging and send and receive fax capabilities that, when
matched with compatible modem hardware, provide a complete communications solution. Many of the capabilities found in
FaxTalk Messenger Pro require specific hardware support from the modem and modem drivers and may not function correctly,
or at all, if the modem hardware does not provide working support for the features. Since it is up to the modem manufacturer
to provide the necessary hardware and driver support for many of the features found in FaxTalk Messenger Pro,
Thought Communications cannot guarantee that every feature and operation provided in FaxTalk Messenger Pro will work with
any particular modem. |
